Questions about official Lyon County criminal records should go to the office that keeps the requested file. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office and the Lyon Circuit Court Clerk share the same West Dale Avenue records hub in Eddyville, but they are separate custodians. The sheriff handles sheriff-created reports. The clerk handles filed Circuit and District Court cases. Statewide reports, fingerprint histories, corrections records, and registry entries each have a different Kentucky agency.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately run reference site cannot retrieve, correct, seal, or certify a record. It also cannot accept a Kentucky Open Records Act request, background-check order, or expungement petition.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian tied to the record created in Lyon County:

LCSO open-records requests may be mailed, faxed to 270-388-2397, or delivered by hand. The Lyon Judicial Center clerk counter is the local source for certified or official case-file copies. Neither office should be asked for a record created solely by the other.
